Please don’t pronounce it VersacI! It is VersacE. The ultimate brand, built on imagination and fine art pieces, held its Pre Fall 2019 collection in New York. Not long ago Versace was acquired for $2.1 billion by the conglomerate Michael Kors. But Donatella is still present and continuing to design jaw dropping collections.
In the Pre fall 2019 show we could see fabrics like luxorious satin and leather. A lot of beautiful jewelry were an integrant part of the runway. Golden heart elements on earrings and necklaces caught my attention. The hearts were used also as a print on some looks, and it was super fab!
I personally love this look on Amber Valleta. I was so honored meeting her at the Spring/ Summer 18 collection in Milan, and she is even more elegant in person.
So colorful and chic, this collection was also channeling the american dream and the Statue of Liberty as its symbol. Promoting a feeling of freedom, empowerment and seduction, of course.
The overall vibe, that this colelction gives, is reminding of the 90s and its best trends. Leggings, blazers and iconic Versace prints dominated on the catwalk. Colors like yellow, red, light blue, burgundy and pink were the eye catchers.
Have to highlight a look that I was fascinated by, which is the black pin dress. Originally the dress was worn by Elizabeth Hurley in 1994, and became a total hit. For Versace Pre Fall 2019, the creative designer chose to bring this beautiful dress back with a little moderations. The pin is a significant part of this dress and makes it so unique and fascinating.
